Walt Disney World can be one of the best family vacation experiences. Many families plan at least one Disney World vacation in their lifetime, and others go year after year.

Planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be confusing for families because there are so many different things to know. The parks are huge, and it's impossible to see and do everything in just one trip.

Because of the way that FastPass and dining reservations work at Walt Disney World, it's a good idea to plan your vacation well in advance. You'll need to make those reservations early (180 days in advance for dining reservations, 60 days in advance for FastPass for on-property guests, and 30 days in advance for FastPass for off-property guests).

There are also a number of Disney resort hotels on property for you to enjoy. These include value resorts, moderate resorts, and deluxe resorts - all with different themes.

You'll also need to know what tickets to purchase. With four theme parks, two water parks, and various activities at Disney Springs, you'll have lots of options.
