Walt Disney World Rides With No Height Requirement

If you are trying to figure out the best time to visit Walt Disney World with toddlers and preschoolers, you may be worried about how many rides and attractions they'll actually be able to experience. Between height restrictions, loud noises, the dark, and scary elements, some rides are off-limits for little ones.

However, there are still plenty of attraction options for toddlers and preschoolers. In addition, there are shows and character experiences that are even better when your kids are young.

But you'll want to be prepared before you go. When my kids were little, we wanted to know exactly what rides had no height requirement, so we could be prepared in advance. That way, my kids wouldn't be disappointed when it was determined they couldn't ride. I first went to Disney World with my kids when they were 9 months and 2 years old, and we still had such a great time.

Here's a list of all of the Walt Disney World rides with no height requirement. We've also included non-ride attractions, including shows. Keep in mind that the height requirement is just one consideration. Some of these rides are dark and can be scary, so think specifically about your kids before riding.

The Magic Kingdom

The Magic Kingdom is where you'll find the most rides and attractions for young kids. Here's what you can expect:

Astro Orbiter: This Tomorrowland attraction features a spinning motion similar to that of the Flying Carpets of Aladdin and Dumbo the Flying Elephant. However, it's located on a platform above the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover, so it's much higher.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin: A fun ride into the world of Buzz Lightyear, where you shoot targets to score points. Very young kids can ride, but won't understand or be able to participate in the game element of it.

Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station: A little splash area located near the Barnstormer and Dumbo the Flying Elephant. This isn't a ride, it's more of an attraction. Be prepared that kids will get wet.

Country Bear Jamboree: A newly reimagined classic show featuring large animatronics that is great for young kids.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant: An absolute classic that my kids loved right from the beginning.

The Hall of Presidents: This animatronic show will be boring for little ones, but it's a great place to relax and cool down.

Enchanted Tales With Belle: A fun, interactive show that kids love.

The Haunted Mansion: While the ride mechanism is appropriate for kids, the theme is likely scary for young kids.

it's a small world: The Happiest Cruise That Ever Sailed features hundreds of dancing and singing animatronics and is a Disney classic.

Jungle Cruise: A gentle boat ride, but very young kids won't understand the corny jokes

Mad Tea Party: This spinning ride isn't the best option for anyone who gets motion sickness or is prone to dizziness.

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin: A gentle spinning ride similar to Dumbo the Flying Elephant. This was always among my kids' favorite rides.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: A gentle dark ride featuring Winnie the Pooh and Friends. This is a great option for little kids.

Mickey's PhilHarmagic: A family-friendly 3-D concert movie that could be scary to kids who are afraid of loud noises or the dark.

Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor: This interactive show is lots of fun, but the youngest Disney guests won't understand the jokes.

Peter Pan's Flight: Another Fantasyland classic that is extremely popular.

Pirates of the Caribbean: This ride features boats and has dark, scary elements for little ones, including cannon fire.

Swiss Family Treehouse: A six-story treehouse based on the movie Swiss Family Robinson.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover: This is a gentle ride through Tomorrowland, where you can see behind the scenes of Space Mountain. It's a great ride for little kids.

Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid: A dark ride through the storyline of the Little Mermaid. Ursula does make an appearance, so keep that in mind if you have a child afraid of her (I did!).

Walt Disney World Railroad: This ride is both fun and functional, as it can take you from one part of the park to another. It's a must-do with little ones.

Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress: This classic Disney attraction may be boring for little ones, but it's a great place to relax and cool down.

Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room: Another classic show that was always a family favorite when I was little.

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel: A traditional carousel, located in Fantasyland.

EPCOT

While EPCOT is typically thought of as a more adult park, it also has many kid-friendly attractions.

Awesome Planet Film: A 10-minute film located in the Land Pavilion.

Beauty and the Beast Sing Along: Located in the France pavilion, this is a fun experience for kids. It's closed until early May 2026 for refurbishment.

Canada Far and Wide: A 12-minute Circle Vision movie all about Canada. While it doesn't have a height requirement, the content is more documentary-like and not specifically for kids.

Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival: This 18-minute 4D attraction features three short films.

Disney's DuckTales World Showcase Adventure: We've always loved this attraction, including its past iterations featuring Agent P from Phineas and Ferb and Kim Possible. Use the Play Disney Parks app to find artifacts across the World Showcase. You can do as much or as little of this full experience as you'd like.

Frozen Ever After: A fun water ride through the storyline of Frozen. This was originally the Maelstrom ride, and it does have a small drop and backward motion.

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros: This ride has always been one of my family's favorites. It is a gentle boat ride through Mexico as you search for the missing Donald Duck.

Journey Into Imagination With Figment: My kids always loved this ride. It features Figment, a fun purple dinosaur, and guests travel on a slow ride to learn all about their five senses.

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana: A self-guided trail with water elements, inspired by Moana.

Kidcot Fun Stops: Travel through EPCOT and stop at these Kidcot Fun Stops, where your kids can do different crafts.

Living With the Land: A gentle boat ride through the greenhouses in the Land Pavilion.

Reflections of China: Similar to the Canada Far and Wide movie, this Circle Vision experience features China.

Remy's Ratatouille Adventure: Shrink down to Remy's size and travel through Gusteau's kitchen. I do get a bit motion sick on this ride because of the movie element, but it's really fun.

The Seas with Nemo & Friends: Board a clamshell and travel through the story of Finding Nemo. This was always one of my kids' favorites.

Spaceship Earth: Located in the sphere icon at EPCOT, it's a gentle ride through the past. It's an easy ride for kids, but the storyline may not be very engaging.

Turtle Talk With Crush: This live, interactive show features Crush, the turtle from Finding Nemo. It's a big hit with kids, and a great opportunity to cool down and rest.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

Most of the rides at Disney's Hollywood Studios without height requirements are attractions, rather than rides. There are some great options, however. You'll find some Disney Jr. characters as well as Toy Story Characters here, so you won't want to miss it.

Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway: A new ride that has quickly become one of my favorites. Travel with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Goofy on a runaway train. It has a few jerky movements, but there aren't any real scary elements.

Toy Story Mania!: Another one of my favorites, where you'll put on 3D glasses and try your luck at carnival-style games. Young kids won't necessarily understand the game mechanism, and the scenes aren't clear unless you are wearing the 3D glasses.

Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage: A Broadway-style stage show featuring Beauty and the Beast. This is very popular, and Lightning Lane is offered.

Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After: This is a new 18-minute stage show featuring the Disney Villains. I haven't seen it yet personally, so I'm not sure how scary it is for very young kids.

For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration: A 30-minute stage show featuring clips from the movie, along with the live characters.

Indiana Jones™ Epic Stunt Spectacular!: A 30-minute live show featuring actual stunts being performed while you learn about the behind-the-scenes process of movie stunts.

The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure: This is a new live show that recently debuted. I haven't seen it yet, but my daughter was a little fearful of the original version of this show when she was a toddler.

Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!: A new Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse experience will be opening in May 2026.

Animal Kingdom

In addition to the attractions listed below, Disney's Animal Kingdom also offers many animal encounters and wildlife trails. While they aren't as flashy as the thrill rides, this shouldn't be missed.

Wildlife Express Train: This attraction is currently closed for refurbishment and will be replaced by a Bluey attraction, sure to be popular with little ones.

Kilimanjaro Safaris: This is one of the few attractions that my kids have always loved, regardless of their age. Board a safari vehicle through the savannahs that surround the park and see animals in the wild. The experience is always different, depending on the animals' behavior for the day.

Na'vi River Journey: Located in Pandora, this dark river ride takes you through the colorful Bioluminescent rainforest. It's a beautiful ride, although it can be dark.

Zootopia: Better Zoogether!: This is the new movie in the Tree of Life in the center of Disney's Animal Kingdom. It's very kid-friendly but can get loud.

Festival of the Lion King: This beautiful stage show is based on the movie The Lion King. It runs for about 40 minutes, so it's great for families with young ones.

Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond!: Like the Festival of the Lion King, this is a live stage show. It only runs for about 20 minutes, so it's a great option for families with young kids. They'll love the bright colored puppets and set.
