This January, I embarked on my second Celebrity Cruise, on the Celebrity Reflection. This ship, currently sailing out of Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades, is offering short sailings of 3-4 days - perfect for a short getaway.
Unfortunately, due to the unseasonably windy weather affecting the whole East Coast, our three-night sailing turned into a cruise to nowhere. We completely understood why we couldn't dock, and Celebrity offered some very generous perks. It also gave us the opportunity to explore the ship beyond what we'd planned.
Here's my guide to the Celebrity Reflection, including what you need to know when booking.

Celebrity Reflection
Overview
The ship has 1,523 staterooms and can accommodate 3,046 guests with a gross tonnage of 126,000. Its inaugural date was October 12, 2012, and it was refurbished during a dry dock in 2022.
Amenities on the Celebrity Reflection
Pool Deck: Unfortunately, our sailing didn't really include pool-deck weather. We didn't really spend any time experiencing it. There seemed to be plenty of chairs, some with great shade and others in the bright sun. The deck offers pools and whirlpools.

Solarium: As adults traveling without kids in cooler weather, this was definitely our favorite area of the ship. The Solarium is 16+ and offers two hot tubs, the Solarium pool (saltwater and very warm), a cafe, and lots of covered seating.
Kids' Clubs: Although our sailing had only a handful of kids on board, there are kids' clubs to keep them busy. These clubs are organized by age group and include many activities that the children seem to enjoy.
Casino: The onboard casino offers tables and machines and isn't smoky thanks to a no-smoking policy. It's open air, nestled among some of the ship's shops. It was quite busy due to the weather, but there were always plenty of machines available, and cash-out lines were always short.
Shops: I always love to browse in the shops in the evening, and there's a nice selection on board the Celebrity Reflection. Options include duty-free goods, watches, luxury pre-owned handbags, Celebrity logo merchandise, artwork, jewelry, and more.
Spa: In addition to a full-service salon and spa, you can also book access to the Persian Garden, which includes saunas, steam rooms, and spa showers. There's also a fitness center open to all guests, and classes are offered at an additional fee. Because we had some free time, I got a blowout in the salon and had a fantastic experience.
The Lawn Club: An area of the ship offering green grass, a large television, and some great views. There are also cabanas you can rent, offering a unique experience, perfect for a sea day.
Entertainment on Board
The Celebrity Reflection offers a variety of entertainment onboard. Options can vary during your sailing. But during our 3-night sailing trip, we had a magician and a comedian, along with several live shows. I went to one of the live shows, the Broadway Cabaret, and really enjoyed it.

Dining On The Celebrity Reflection
Oceanview Café & Grill: This is the traditional buffet on board. I find that Celebrity's buffet is my favorite across the cruise lines that I've sailed, and this one on the Reflection was no exception. You'll find themed nights (like Mediterranean and Italian), seafood, delicious pastas, fantastic pizza, salad bars, and so much more. It's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Opus Main Dining Room: This traditional main dining room offers a different menu each night. You'll be assigned a time and table, and can go there or to the buffet/specialty restaurants. It's also open for breakfast and offers lunch on sea days.
Tuscan Grille: A specialty restaurant offering Italian specialties and multiple steak options. This restaurant charges extra and requires reservations. We dined there on our first night, and it was my favorite meal.
Qsine (Offering Le Petit Chef): Reservations and an additional fee are required for this incredibly unique restaurant. Watch a tiny chef "prepare" your meal using 3D mapping technology. It's so fun and unique, but also delicious.
Sushi on Five: Located on Deck 5, this sushi restaurant requires an additional fee and reservations.
The Porch: Located on the Lawn Club, this restaurant offers a variety of barbecue options. It requires reservations and costs an extra fee.
Murano Restaurant: A specialty French restaurant offered for an additional fee. Reservations are required.
Luminae: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner restaurant offered exclusively to suite guests.
Blu: Breakfast and lunch restaurant offered to AquaClass guests.
Café al Bacio & Gelateria - I found myself visiting Café al Bacio twice a day during my cruise. This premium coffee shop offers traditional coffee drinks, teas, and unique offerings. You can order at the counter or sit at one of the many tables and get table service.
They also have a display cafe filled with delicious treats. In the mornings, the Nutella croissants were a big hit. Then, in the afternoon, the case was filled with more traditional desserts.
Across the way, there's another counter offering gelato for an additional fee. This cafe was one of my favorite places on the ship.
Other dining options on the Celebrity Reflection include the pool grill, the spa cafe, and room service.

Different Classes on the Celebrity Reflection
The Retreat is a full, premium experience for suite guests. It includes special areas just for retreat guests, including Luminae Restaurant, the Retreat Sundeck, and the Retreat Lounge, as well as priority check-in. We didn't have a suite, so I didn't have the opportunity to check out these areas first-hand.
AquaClass is another perk level that includes access to the onboard restaurant Blu, complimentary access to the Persian Garden in the spa, a spa concierge, and special in-room amenities. AquaClass guests can take fitness classes at no cost.
Concierge Level is another option available when booking a room. This is what we booked for our sailing. It came with a special sit-down embarkation lunch, an invitation to a sail-away party on the Helipad (closed-toe shoes were required), a pillow menu, a bottle of sparkling wine, evening canapes delivered to the room, and access to a concierge.
Room types on the Celebrity Reflection include the following:
- Suites, including Royal, Reflection, Penthouse, Signature, Sky, and Celebrity
- AquaClass Staterooms
- Concierge Class Staterooms
- Family Oceanview Rooms
- Sunset Verandah Rooms
- Deluxe and Standard Oceanview Rooms
- Interior Staterooms
Handicapped accessible staterooms are also available in various stateroom types.
The room included a bed that could be converted into two twin beds, a chair, two nightstands, umbrellas, binoculars, robes, a television, and a hairdryer. We found ample room in the closet and drawers to store our clothing and other items.
While the bathroom was small, there was plenty of space to store toiletries. One issue I had was the lack of outlets, especially near the bed. We had to charge our items on the other side of the stateroom.
