Read about how Virgin Voyages, a brand-new cruise line with two ships, is different from other cruise lines

Virgin Voyages launched in 2021 and currently has two ships with two more on the way. We went on the Scarlet Lady in May 2021

These are adult only voyages with no one under the age of 18 allowed. Entertainment varies, but there is some edginess - different from more family-friendly lines

There are no drinks packages, and drinks are purchased individually (but you can prepay a tab and can often get a deal)

Caribbean sailings stop at the private beach club at Bimini in the Bahamas. Although it's not a private island, the club is private to Virgin Voyages for the day.

There's no main dining room, and no assigned seating, which really changes the whole concept of dining on a ship

There's also no buffet - instead there's the Galley, a food hall, which offers different types of cuisines with menus and servers

Signature dining at specialty restaurants is included, and reservations can be made in advance. The restaurants offer different cuisine types like Italian and steak.

All gratuities are included in your cruise fare, so you don't have to worry about adding them later.
