I love sailing on the Disney Dream. The cruises are short (3 to 4 days – perfect to combine with a Walt Disney World vacation), and go to one of my favorite places in the world – Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. I recently sailed on the Disney Dream and enjoyed seeing all of the latest updates to the ship. If you haven’t been on the Dream in a while, here are the updates you’ll see next time.
Star Wars: Millennium Falcon
The Oceaneer Club was recently updated to include areas themed for both Star Wars and Disney Infinity. In the Star Wars area, there’s a Star Wars: Millennium Falcon section, inspired by the movies. Kids can “steer” the ship, but there are also numerous activities that take place in this section. My kids always love the various programming offered in the kids’ clubs – they are so fun and they usually don’t want to leave the clubs when we pick them up.
Disney Infinity fans will love another recently-updated section of the Oceaneer Club. In the Disney Infinity room, kids can play on a life-sized Disney Infinity base, check out a collection of Disney Infinity figures, and play Disney Infinity on board. There is also exclusive content for the game that you can only get on the ship.
Vanellope’s Sweets and Treats
Taking the place of the Arrr-cade on the Disney Dream is Vanellope’s Sweets and Treats. It offers candy, gelato, ice cream, and other treats all at an additional fee. The space is bright and colorful – fans of the film Wreck-It-Ralph will love it!
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
There already was a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on the Disney Fantasy, and now there is one on the Dream. Kids aged 3-12 can enjoy a transformation. On Pirate Night, the boutique switches over to the Pirates League.
