Thomas Land™ in Carver, MA, is opening for the season on April 8th, 2017. The park, which is the only permanent Thomas and Friends location in North America, is located on 11.5 acres and offers 11 rides that are based on beloved Thomas and Friends characters.

Attractions includes a 20 minute long train ride on a Thomas replica (tip: use the restroom before boarding – there is none on board), a roller coaster, a drop tower, and a Ferris wheel. You can even visit the famous Tidmouth Sheds, home to the trains.
Thomas Land at Edaville Family Theme Park is in its third season, and is the third Thomas and Friends location worldwide. The other two parks are located in Fujikyu Highland Amusement Park in Tokyo and Drayton Manor Theme Park in UK. Starting on the opening date of April 8th, the park will be open weekends through early June, when it will start to be open daily. The park will also be open everyday over April vacation, making it a great place to visit if you are staying local or will be visiting the Boston area.
Admission to Thomas Land includes all of the Thomas Land attractions as well as admission to Edaville Family Theme Park. There are several shops and food locations right in the park, including KC’s Cafe and the Choo Choo Cafe. If aren’t staying all day, and would prefer to eat off site, there are several dining options in the area (see them here).
If you are traveling to Thomas Land™, there are a variety of lodging options. You could combine it with a stay in Boston (see these places to stay with kids in Boston), or with a visit to Plimoth Plantation. I’d recommend staying at the John Carver Inn & Spa, a kid-friendly hotel in Plymouth.
