If you live in New England you probably have visited Edaville USA at Christmastime as a family tradition. You rode the steam train and all the classic rides every year as a kid bundled up in your winter gear. It has been much of the same for many years UNTIL they just added the country’s only Thomas The Tank Engine theme park, Thomas Land.
Thomas Land is a 11.5 acre and $25 million dollar expansion to the already existing classic amusement park. It was voted a top 3 Best New Amusement Park Attraction by USA Today and 10 Best. It is now the home of the Island of Sodor featuring a 20 minute ride aboard Thomas himself, 11 new Thomas the Train themed rides including Knapford Station and an interactive stage area at the Tidmouth Sheds.
We absolutely loved Troublesome Trucks Runaway Coaster. I think it’s the perfect first coaster for smaller ones. I think the proof is in the faces of the kids!
Thomas Land truly brings the magic of the Island of Sodor to life to children with a little thrill too. It is a wonderful addition that will bring many joy and wonderful memories to families for years to come.
The park is included in the price of admission to Edaville USA. Learn more about the new Thomas Land on the Edaville USA website.
If you are traveling from far enough away to need lodging accommodations for the night, I recommend the John Carver Inn and Spa just a town away in Plymouth, MA. It’s a fun hotel featuring a pilgrim-themed pool complete with waterslide. Check prices on Hotels.com.
