The Bahamas, a group of islands in the Caribbean, is a great family travel destination. Its close proximity to the United States make it an easy trip either by plane or cruise ship. With beautiful beaches, amazing water sports and activities, and delicious food, it's definitely worth visiting the Bahamas with kids.

Although many islands comprise the Bahamas, the most well-known island is Nassau. A popular cruise port, Nassau also has a large international airport, several family-friendly museums, and luxurious shops.

Over the bridge from Nassau is Paradise Island, which is most known as the home of Atlantis Paradise Island.
