Have you ever wanted to stay on a luxurious island? That’s what the small island of Nantucket feels like, especially when you are staying at a beautiful luxury, family-friendly resort. Nantucket is a mere one-hour ferry ride from the Massachusetts mainland, but it feels like a world away, making it one of our favorite family vacation destinations. On our last Nantucket family vacation (for our visit during the Nantucket Christmas Stroll), we had the opportunity to stay at Harborview Place, a luxurious vacation home community located right downtown.
Review of Harborview Place in Nantucket, MA
Harborview Place is located right in downtown Nantucket, just steps from shops and restaurants. Complimentary transportation from the ferry terminals is offered. Be sure to request that when you book your stay. There are a total of eleven cabins available to rent, ranging from a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom cottage to a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom cottage. All of the properties offer a full kitchen as well as laundry facilities.
We stayed in the three-bedroom Mainline Building, which is one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed in, anywhere. The building offers a luxurious kitchen (seriously, I want this kitchen in my home), three bathrooms, a living room, and two porches. Each unit comes complete with cable television, a DVD player, complimentary high-speed internet access, and much more. I especially enjoyed sitting on one of the porches, while reading and enjoying the scenery. The cottages really feel like home, although since you’ll be in Nantucket, you’ll also want to go out and explore.
Harborview Place also offers some great amenities, including daily housekeeping, a private beach, and a pre-arrival concierge. Connect with a concierge before your trip and arrive with your reservations always set up and your kitchen already stocked. You can cook in your cottage’s gorgeous kitchen, or walk to one of the nearby restaurants for meals. If you are staying for a while, I’d recommend cooking for breakfast and lunches, and dining out for dinner.
Harborview Place Nantucket is total and complete luxury, and we felt completely pampered, from the first shower in the morning (full-body jets makes the shower a spa experience) to the moment we hit the super-comfortable beds at night. My family didn’t want to leave, and they are already begging for a return trip to Nantucket this summer.
