Last summer, my family went on a quick, last-minute vacation to Grand Cayman. During our vacation, my kids snorkeled for a little while and absolutely loved it. My son has been begging for another vacation where he can snorkel again – he just loved seeing all of the fish and turtles under the sea. Are you starting to plan your spring break vacation? Here are four resorts where you can go snorkeling and scuba diving on spring break.
El Conquistador, A Waldorf Astoria Resort (Fajardo, Puerto Rico)
I’ve always wanted to travel to Puerto Rico – it’s not too far, it doesn’t require a passport, and it’s family friendly. The El Conquistador Resort, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, looks like a gorgeous place to visit with a family. It is set atop a 300-foot cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It includes a $12 million water park,an 8,000 square foot lazy river, an infinity-edge pool, a spa, and much more.
Another gorgeous hotel in Puerto Rico is the Condado Plaza Hilton. It’s a great spot for snorkeling due to its location near the Condado Lagoon Reef. There’s also a saltwater pool, three pools, and many water activities.
If you are looking to travel to Mexico, the Velas Resorts in Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Maya and Riviera Nayarit in Mexico great for family vacations. All include kids’ activities to keep them occupied, as well as evening entertainment and much more.
Another place that I’ve always wanted to visit is Captiva Island, Florida. It’s conveniently located near the Fort Myers Airport and it’s a quick flight from many destinations. The South Seas Island Resort, named a Top-10 Beach Resort for Families by Parents Magazine offers lots of family activities, a 330-acre wildlife preserve, and two-and-a-half miles of beaches on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
Although spring break does seem to be a while away, it will be here before you know it! What are your spring break plans?
