Paris Family Hotel: Hilton Paris Opera Review

During our Adventures by Disney London and Paris family vacation, we spent four nights at the Hilton Paris Opera Hotel. This landmark Paris family hotel is one of the best places to stay in Paris with family. Although you probably won’t be spending too much time in the hotel during your vacation, you’ll still want a comfortable and convenient place for your family to stay. I absolutely loved our four-night stay, and didn’t want to leave.

Hilton Paris Opera Location

Of course, location is always important when choosing a city hotel. The Hilton Paris Opera, as the name suggests, is located near the gorgeous Opéra Garnier. It’s adjacent to the Saint Lazare Train Station, and within walking distance of some great shopping, include Les Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. During your Paris family vacation, I definitely recommend going to the top of Galeries Lafayette. There, you’ll find a terrace with gorgeous views of the Eiffel Tower.

While we traveled by bus to most places during our Adventures by Disney trip, we did do some walking to local attractions as well. Le Champs-Elysee is about a 20-30 minute walk. One evening, when we had some free time, we walked over there for some shopping and dinner. There’s even a Disney Store! At night, the Arc De Triomphe is lit up and is so beautiful. There are also plenty of cabs available if you are traveling a bit further, and the doormen can assist in getting one.

During our stay, we ate at two restaurants within walking distance – Paris London and Chez Andre. Both were delicious and family friendly. Paris London offers salads, pizzas, and entrees and is within easy walking distance. Chez Andre is a traditional French restaurant, and does offer a children’s menu. However, it’s a longer walk to get there.

Hilton Paris Opera Rooms

As a historic hotel, the Hilton Paris Opera offers many different room types and configurations, depending on your needs. Before we arrived, I assumed that the rooms would be tiny. But, I was pleased to see that we had two nice sized, adjoining rooms.

Room types include deluxe rooms, deluxe twin bed rooms, family rooms, and superior rooms. We had a family room with a queen bed and a rollaway bed for my kids, which was connected to a deluxe room. There are also suites available, which come with executive club access. Executive and accessible rooms are also offered.

Room amenities include a hairdryer, safe, bathrobes, slippers, HDTV with movie channel, desk, WiFi, rainshower, Nespresso coffee machine, super comfortable beds, mini bar, and iron with ironing board. The air conditioning was also very efficient – essential because Paris was in the midst of a heat wave during the beginning of our stay. I found the rooms to be so comfortable, and really enjoyed ours. I didn’t want to leave when our stay was over! There are also plenty of standard European outlets (be sure to get a converter!) as well as USB outlets.

Hilton Paris Opera Food

Food is a big part of any Paris vacation, and luckily there are several options right in the Hilton Paris Opera. A delicious buffet breakfast is served every morning on the mezzanine level. It was included in our room package, although it may be extra depending on the package you book. With nice views of the streets of Paris, the mezzanine dining area is exclusive to breakfast. The breakfast buffet includes self-serve coffee beverages, cheeses, meats, sausages, bacon, pastries, and more. It was the perfect start to each day in Paris.

There’s also a Le Pain Quotidien in the hotel. It’s open from breakfast to dinner seven days a week. During our trip, we were also treated to a private dinner featuring seasonal dishes. The menu includes salads, hot dishes, soups, and more.

The centerpiece of the hotel is Le Grand Salon. It’s a gorgeous room located right in the middle of the hotel, offering drinks and food. It’s such a special, beautiful location – perfect for a quick bite or drink.

Hilton Paris Opera Amenities

Whether you are a family traveler or a business traveler, the Hilton Paris Opera offers a number of amenities. There’s a business center where you can access the internet and print anything you need.

Families will appreciate the baby equipment that is available, including cribs, changing tables, and high chairs.

During our stay, we encountered several members of the friendly staff, including the concierge, who helped us with restaurant recommendations and reservations.

If you are looking for a Paris family hotel, the Hilton Paris Opera is definitely a great option. It’s a gorgeous luxury hotel, is in a great location, has nice rooms, and friendly staff.
