Orlando World Center Marriott Review

After two days at a nearby hotel, I packed up my bags and drove less than 2 miles down the road to the Orlando World Center Marriott – the largest Marriott-branded hotel in the world. Featuring 2,010 rooms (including 110 suites) this bustling hotel can seem a bit overwhelming, but is actually very easy to navigate. I checked in, got my key, and headed up to my beautiful renovated suite overlooking the newly-updated pool area.

Orlando Marriott World Center Review

Orlando World Center Marriott

The Rooms at the Orlando Marriott World Center

I was very impressed with my suite at the Orlando Marriott World Center. The linens and towels are very luxurious and comfortable, and the bathroom features a digital shower that controls the temperature and the number of shower heads (up to 3). The room also offers full-size refillable toiletry bottles, a mini-bar, flat-screen televisions, a large work desk, and an in-room coffee maker.

All of the rooms offer balconies as well as free WiFi. I could even see part of Disney Springs and Spaceship Earth in EPCOT from my balcony, and later in the evening, I was able to spot the EPCOT fireworks. This is a busy hotel, but I found my room to be very quiet and relaxing.

The Amenities at the Orlando Marriott World Center

There are so many things for families to do at the Orlando Marriott World Center that you won’t even want to leave the hotel. The highlight is the Falls Pool Area, a lively and fun place to splash around. The pool area features a kids’ splash area, a kids’ zero-entry pool, a slide tower with two, 200-foot winding water slides and one, 90-foot speed water slide (pictured above), the Fall’s pool bar and grill, and a main pool.

Pool towels are available in convenient lockers that guests can use their room key to access, and there are plenty of waiters and waitresses available to take your pool bar order, right from your deck chair. I hung out at the pool for a while and enjoyed the fun atmosphere – there was some great music playing and while the pool was busy, it wasn’t overly crowded. An updated interactive game room is perfect for those rainy Florida afternoons.

For those looking for something more relaxing, the Orlando World Center Marriott also offers a full-service spa, as well as an 18-hole championship golf course. There are also several shops in the lobby and on the lower level.

The Food at the Orlando World Center Marriott

The Orlando World Center Marriott features 10 different eating establishments/lounges (including the breakfast buffet –  Latitude & Longitude), and I had the chance to check out several of them. On my first day, I ate at the casual Falls Poolside Bar and Grill. While I sat at the restaurant, guests can also get several by their lounge chairs.

My server was very helpful in providing me with suggestions, so I decided to try a strawberry mojito, followed by tuna tacos. The food was great and there were lots of choices on the menu that I wanted to try.  If I was staying there on a family vacation I would definitely eat there a few times.

A Review of the Orlando Marriott World Center

For dinner, I dined at Siro Urban Italian Kitchen. I browsed the menu while sipping on a delicious glass of prosecco, and decided to start with the Ahi Tuna Crudo and the Kale Caesar. Both were excellent. For my entree, I got a half-portion of the linguine with littlenecks. I love the fact that they offer half-portions – it’s a great way to try a few different things on the menu.

Overall, I had a great time at the Orlando World Center Marriott, and I’ve definitely recommend it to families visiting the Orlando area. Make sure you add an extra day to your stay – you’ll want to spend at least one day at the pool.

I have such a soft spot in my heart for this hotel! It been my favorite since its opening back around my WDW College Program Days, an awesome hotel to host a meeting as a meeting planner in my early career years, and a family favorite today with SO many great things to do right on property. Its a destination within the destination city that meets your every need! Great post =)
