I love taking travel photos when we are on vacation. I constantly take pictures – whether they are for this blog, or for my personal photo collection. When I first started traveling, I would load my bag up with film, and when digital cameras became available, I bought one right away. The one thing I struggle with is actually doing anything with those photos. I upload them to my computer, and then they sit there. On occasion, I’ll do a photo book, or order a canvas print. But the majority of the pictures just sit on my hard drive. When Instax offered me the opportunity to review their Instax Share SP-2 printer, I thought it would be a great way to actually print some of my pictures – and it works on the go too!
Instax Printer Review: Print Your Travel Photos on the Go
The Instax Share SP-2 printer works through WiFi, and connects directly to your smartphone. Once I received the printer, I inserted the battery, installed the film paper, and charged it. The printer works with a cartridge of Instax mini Instant Color Film. There are ten sheets in a package, so you can print up to 10 photos with one cartridge.
While the printer was charging, I downloaded the free Instax app to my iPhone. The app is easy to use, and lets you print photos from your phone’s camera roll. Or, you can take a picture on the spot, through the app. There are even some options to edit the picture right through the software, including adding a filter or one of the templates (which includes the option to split a photo over two prints, or create a collage).
Connecting the app to the printer is easy – you just connect to the printer through WiFi. After connecting, I was able to access all of my photos and print whatever I wanted to the printer. Printing takes just about ten seconds, and then it takes a few moments for the photo to appear.
Once the photo appears, it’s bright with strong colors. I was impressed with the quality of these little images. The Instax Share Sp-2 printer is small, so you can easily tuck it in your suitcase so that you can print pictures on the go. To learn more, visit the Instax website.
