Last week, I flew to Fort Lauderdale for the annual TBEX (Travel Blog Exchange) North America conference. While all of the actual conference sessions are held indoors in a convention center, I did have some opportunities to get outside and soak in all of the warm, sunny weather. Here are some of my favorite Instagram images from Fort Lauderdale.
I started my morning as I start most of my travel adventures – at Boston’s Logan Airport.
Upon arriving at my hotel in Fort Lauderdale (the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina), I enjoyed this view from the hallway. With the leaves changing here in Massachusetts, I appreciated the view of the palm trees and water.

Our hotel room faced the port, and in the morning, I snapped this picture of the cruise ships and the convention center.

The sky was pretty grey that second day, but the palm trees were still beautiful.
That evening, we drove about 30 minutes to the Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, FL. It poured on the way there, but stopped as we arrived. The party was moved indoors, but I went outside to check out the pool and beach.

Of course, the weather was perfect for my last day. I went outside for a few minutes in the morning. Here’s a shot right from the back porch of the hotel.
I was told that due to construction, I should arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes in advance. Because of the aircraft fire the day before, I decided to leave even earlier. I got through security right away (thanks TSA PreCheck), and had a quick snack at this airport restaurant before flying home.
