Hilton Worldwide has just introduced the latest brand to their lineup – Tru by Hilton. This midscale brand, the 13th Hilton brand, will open their first property later this year. There are currently 120 properties signed, with 30 more in various approval stages. Cities will include Atlanta, Dallas, Portland, Nashville, and Chicago.
The Tru by Hilton brand promises to be both innovative and affordable, and is geared to all generations. Here are some of the features you can expect to see.

- Innovative, Functional Guest Rooms: Rooms will offer comfortable beds, eight-foot wide windows, flexible flighting and storage spaces, a large bathroom with spacious shower, and 55 inch televisions offering 150 DIRECTV channels. The photo below shows how bright and whimsical the bathrooms will be.
- Public spaces: Each Tru by Hilton location will offer an open lobby (called the Hive) of 2,770 square feet with four separate zones: (Eat, Work, Lounge and Play). The Play Zone will include table games, a mobile TV unit, and stadium-inspired seating – making it sound perfect for gathering in the lobby for fun. There will also be a fitness center with equipment for cardio, strength, and flexibility workouts.
- Food and Beverage: Tru by Hilton will offer a complimentary “Build Your Own” breakfast. The Toppings Bar, included in the breakfast, will offer 30 different items to accommodate guests’ diets and preferences. The hotel will also offer a retail market that will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will include fun snacks, light meals, and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages.
- Tech Amenities: Tru by Hilton will offer complimentary Wi-Fi with enough bandwidth that guests can easily access streaming services on their devices. Public spaces and guest rooms will include plenty of charger stations, and guests will be able to use the Hilton HHonors app for mobile check-in and digital key.
