Christmas Activities in Grapevine, Texas
The Gaylord Texan Resort’s Lone Star Christmas Featuring ICE! and Santa’s Wild Workshop Snowtubing
From now through January 1, 2017, the Gaylord Texan (Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center) is presenting their 13th annual Lone Star Christmas Event. It includes dozens of holiday displays (with over 2 million lights), ICE! (a 14,000 square-foot attraction), and Santa’s Wild Workshop Snow Tubing.
This year’s ICE! is Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town themed, and it offers ice sculptures, an ice skating rink, and an ice bar. It’s open to everyone – not just guests of the hotel – but there is an admission fee.
North Pole Express® – Ride the rails aboard Grapevine’s North Pole Express, presented by Great Wolf Lodge!
Kids can ride the festively decorated Grapevine Vintage Railroad coaches to the North Pole. The train ventures to Reindeer Ridge, where Ms. Claus boards the train and gives each child a “We Believe” silver Santa Bell. At the North Pole, guests can disembark and walk to Santa’s Workshop, where Santa serves a Frosty Chocolate Snow Milk. Finally, each family gets a voucher for a free family photo with Santa. Tickets for the North Pole Express are $25 for ages 13 months and older and are on sale now. Advance purchase recommended. Dates include November 25, 26 and 27 and December 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23.
A Bricktacular Holiday at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center and Dive Into Action at SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium
Meet LEGO® Santa at LEGOLAND Discovery Center’s Holiday Bricktacular, which will be held on December 10, 11, 17 and 18 at the Grapevine Mills Mall. You’ll also find the SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium in the mall, where you’ll be able to see Scuba Diving Santa. Dives take place at 11:30 a.m. December 10, 11, 17 and 18.
Snowland at Great Wolf Lodge
Visitors to the Grapevine Great Wolf Lodge can experience the famous always-84-degree indoor waterpark (the largest indoor waterpark in Texas), along with special visits from Santa,a life-size Gingerbread House, a nightly Snowland-themed Story Time and much more. Snowland takes place from November 26, 2016 – January 1, 2017.
