Located in the most perfect spot in the center of Florence is the Hotel Bernini Palace, a luxury boutique hotel. We stayed there for four days during our recent Italian family vacation, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Florence.

Review: Hotel Bernini Palace Florence
The Hotel Bernini Palace in Florence is located within short walking distance of the Uffizi Gallery, the Accademia Gallery (where you’ll find Michaelangelo’s David), and Piazza della Signoria, as well as many restaurants and shops. If you are planning on exploring the city each day of your vacation, it’s a great spot.
The Rooms at the Hotel Bernini Palace
Our family of four enjoyed two corner rooms in the hotel, which were connected via an external door. My kids’ room was smaller, with a separate bathroom, while our room had a larger bathroom and a walk-in closet. The rooms offered hair dryers, complimentary water bottles, safes, and coffee makers. We also received turndown service with a candy treat each night. The rooms were definitely on the smaller side, but that was to be expected given the downtown location. Free WiFi is offered to guests.
Food and Drinks at the Hotel Bernini Palace
Breakfast each morning was included in our hotel stay, and it included a few hot items (like bacon and eggs) along with cold items including yogurt, pastries, fruit, cheese, and meats. My kids loved ordering the hot chocolate each morning, while my husband and I preferred the cappuccino (all included with breakfast).
The hotel also offers a restaurant as well as a lobby bar. We had dinner at the hotel the first night, and the food was delicious. You’ll also find lots of great options just a few steps away the front door of the hotel (our favorite was Trattoria Alfredo, located right behind the hotel).
The Hotel Bernini Palace is definitely a small hotel, with tiny elevators and narrow walkways, but the size and age is a big part of its charm. We also loved the beautiful crisp scent of the hotel, courtesy of the Acqua dell’ Elba reed diffusers located throughout the halls. While the hotel doesn’t offer a pool, there’s a great rooftop jacuzzi that is a great place to relax.
