Spring Vacation Travel to Puerto Rico

El Conquistador Resort, A Waldorf Astoria Resort.

Even though we’ve had a relatively mild winter here in Boston, I’m still ready for a warm weather vacation.  Sitting in the sun, relaxing on the beach, and just soaking up some rays all sounds perfect right now.  If you are feeling the same way, and are getting ready to book your spring vacation, consider Puerto Rico, where you don’t need a passport!

Puerto Rico is incredibly kid-friendly, with loads of hotels and resorts that cater to families, like the Marriott San Juan, the Rio Mar Beach Resort and Spa, the Caribe Hilton, and the El Conquistador Resort, A Waldorf Astoria Resort. There are plenty of kid activities at these resorts, including pools, kids camps, and other children’s activities.

In addition to the resort activities, there are plenty of local attractions and sights.  Highlights include:

Bioluminescent bays – tiny microrganisms create glowing waters on moonless nights. There are several across the island, including Mosquito Bay in Vieques and Las Croabas Lagoon in Fajardo.

Rio Camuy Cave Park – an underground cave system with trams to take you to the various scenic areas.

El Yunque – a beautiful rainforest with tropical plants, waterfalls, birds, and wildlife.

There are also loads of cultural activities, so your kids can learn while vacationing!
