Up until this year, I’d never been to Nantucket, despite the fact that I grew up in New England. When we went on a Nantucket family vacation earlier this year, I was so impressed with how beautiful and picturesque it is – like the most perfect New England small town. Each Christmas season, the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce runs the Nantucket Noel Christmas Stroll – taking placing on December 2-4, 2011.
During the Nantucket Christmas Stroll, Santa arrives on a Coast Guard vessel where he’s escorted into town. Guests can visit with Santa, see the Magical Talking Tree, and enjoy the Christmas hour tour.
Several Nantucket Island Resorts properties are open for the Christmas Stroll Weekend, including the Jared Coffin House, the White Elephant, The Cottages and Lofts at the Boat Basin, and the luxurious White Elephant Hotel Residences.
