• Family Vacation in Nantucket

This past weekend, our family had the opportunity to visit the White Elephant Hotel Residences in Nantucket. My husband had to work on Friday, so we decided to leave on Friday afternoon, after my daughter got out of school. After considering whether or not to take our car over, we chose to leave our car in Hyannis.

I was actually pretty surprised when booking the ferry tickets to see how much they are – it’s about $77 per adult round trip. There weren’t loads of options of times, but as the season gets busier, more ferries are added. The ride itself is quick and easy – exactly one hour.

Upon arriving, we were greeted by the shuttle driver for the White Elephant Hotel Residences, who brought us to the hotel for check in, then to our residence. Honestly, we were truly amazed by how gorgeous our suite was – you can check it out in the video above.

The forecast for the Boston area was pretty dreary for the weekend, but surprisingly, the weather was pretty nice on Nantucket. On Saturday, we enjoyed visiting the Whaling Museum, Children’s Beach, and the Weezie Library for Children at the Nantucket Atheneum, before grabbing an ice cream at the Juice Bar and having a luxurious dinner at the Brant Point Grill at the White Elephant.

On Sunday, we had a leisurely morning, then visited Children’s Beach again (the kids just loved it!), and had lunch at Brotherhood of Thieves. Finally, we boarded the ferry back to Hyannis, sadly returning to the weekly grind.

Disclosure: The White Elephant Hotel Residences provided us with a complimentary two-night stay, as well as dinner at the Brant Point Grill (excluding alcohol). We were also given complimentary tickets to the Whaling Museum.
