Despite all of my travels, I have yet to visit Colorado. However, it’s really one of those places that’s on my life list of family travel destinations. Our family has just started skiing, but I want to visit Colorado for more than the fabulous skiing. I really want to check out all of the gorgeous ski lodges and quaint ski towns!
The Limelight Lodge in Aspen, Colorado, is one of those resorts. This environmentally-conscious offers a variety of family-friendly hotel packages and amenities. For skiers, the ski-free deal is a great option – you’ll get up to 2 lift tickets per day included in your room mate. The lift tickets can be used at any of Aspen/Snowmass’ four local mountains with free transportation to and from the ski hill provided by The Limelight. For those families who’d prefer something other than skiing, you can borrow complimentary showshoes and hike in the nearby White River National Forest – something I’d love to try.
You can also enjoy s’mores, family games in the lobby (pictured above), a family movie night each week, and live music in the lounge five days per week. There’s also the Inside Tracks program, a complimentary ski/ride guide program offered every Monday and Thursday in partnership with Ski & Snowboard Schools of Aspen/Snowmass for Limelight Lodge guests. Other amenities include continental breakfast, high-speed wireless internet access, and a fitness center.
