During our White Mountains family vacation last weekend, we wanted to stay at a hotel that was close to the White Mountains attractions, with lots of family-friendly amenities. We ended up at the Mountain Club at Loon Mountain, a four-season resort located in Lincoln, New Hampshire.
We had a suite at the Mountain Club, which included a King Club Room and a Studio with Kitchen. The Studio with Kitchen had two Murphy beds (one for each of my kids, which they loved), as well as a balcony that overlooked the outdoor pool (the photo above shows our view). Following a renovation last year, the Mountain Club rooms now include wider windows, better climate control, free WiFi, and brand new flat-screen televisions.
We were there during a slower time, but in winter and summer, this is definitely the perfect spot for access to Loon Mountain. As you can see from the photo, the mountain is right adjacent to the resort. The Mountain Club offers a variety of amenities, including a full service fitness center, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a bar, a restaurant, and a spa. You could definitely spend the whole time at the resort, but there’s so much nearby that you’ll want to venture out too.
Lincoln itself is somewhat limited, although there’s Clark’s Trained Bears, Whale’s Tale Water Park, Lost River, Flume Gorge, and Franconia Notch State Park nearby. You can also cross the Kancamagus Highway to reach Story Land, Attitash, and North Conway, NH.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Club at Loon Mountain, and hope to return again soon.
