Brand-New Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort and Spa

When I visited Carlsbad, CA in the spring of 2011 with the Hilton Garden Inn press trip, the hotel had a model version of a brand-new Hilton that would be opening right on the oceanfront.  That new hotel, the Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort and Spa, opened earlier this month.

Featuring 215 guest rooms and suites, the oceanfront resort offers beautiful, sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean.  On site services include the full-service Ocean Crest Spa and fabulous dining at Chandler’s Restaurant & Lounge.  Amenities include an ocean view swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and over 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor banquet facilities.  The resort is minutes from Palomar Airport (a 30-minute flight from LA) and is less than a 45-minute drive from San Diego International Airport.  It’s the perfect place to serve as home-base for your San Diego family vacation, as you’ll be minutes for Legoland, the San Diego Zoo, and Disneyland Resort.
