When traveling with kids on a family vacation, sometimes the thought of getting on a flight is daunting. Depending on where you are traveling to, it may just be easier and cheaper to fly.
BeFrugal.com, a company headquartered here in Boston, has a calculator on their site that helps with that fly or drive financial analysis. While many of the fields are optional, I recommend that you put in as much information as possible to make sure you get the best answer possible. I ran the tool for a trip from Boston, MA to Washington, DC, and got the recommendation to drive (probably what I’d want to do as long as we had the time to drive).
